Trichotillomania: What’s Worse Than Making The Wrong Decision?

One of the things we do with ANY client – not individual or groups clients – is to review where and when their pulling activity tends to be its most troublesome; that way, we know what to move around when the time comes for us to intervene.

Of course, everyone wants to make the right decision. But the problem is, there’s often no way to know in advance which option is best. Thus, we struggle in indecisiveness. We stress out about it. We stew in the midst of conflict.

And all those difficult feelings often lead us to want to pull.

So we need a decision-making strategy, for sure. And not only a workable strategy, but perhaps an entirely different perspective on what it means to be a decision-maker in the first place.
