Welcome to the next installment in our series that we’re calling The Five Pillars of Trichotillomania Freedom.
In our first couple of articles, we talked about the importance of the first Pillar of Trichotillomania Freedom: the value of a true commitment to attaining ANY goal, regardless of what the goal itself is. We learned that you’re almost always far more likely to achieve a particular outcome when you consider that goal a MUST, not just a “could”, a “should”, or a “might”.
What’s important to you about the power of belief? Why talk about this in the context of this problem we all call trichotillomania? Why devote an entire article to the subject?
Well, consider that your belief that you “have” trichotillomania – and that you therefore are constrained to live out trichotillomania-related behaviors – is perhaps the foremost reason trichotillomania is still a problem in your life despite everything you’ve done to try to conquer it.
